Karim WAZNI
Founder, CEO
For the past 15 years, Karim has dedicated his career to the decarbonization of the energy sector, contributing to the development of new technologies and innovative business models based on sound and therefore sustainable economics.
Convinced that electric mobility is at a tipping point similar to that of renewable energy 10 years ago, in terms of technological maturity and cost, Karim founded illigo to unlock and accelerate the growth of electric mobility by drawing inspiration from financing models and deployment strategies that have propelled renewable energy to the forefront of the energy sector.
Karim holds a MS in Industrial Engineering from Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris Tech) a MS in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Insead.
Gaoussou KARAMOKO
Technical Manager
Gaoussou KARAMOKO is an electrical engineer and has more than 10 years of experience as an MEP project engineer in Ivory Coast and West Africa. Former engineer of the Apave Group specialised in inspection, training and certification, he acts as an expert in the design, execution and delivery of low, medium and high voltage electrical distribution systems for large industrial installations.
In 2023, Gaoussou successfully completed the french IRVE P1-P2-P3 certification for the installation for the fast DC chargers for electric vehicles. He holds a degree from l'Institut Technologique d'Abidjan in engineering conception (mechanical and electrical).

Cyril HADJI-THOMAS
Specialized since 1994 in Artificial Intelligence and optimization for industry, logistics and transport, Cyril has managed leading software companies for 20 years, particularly for e-commerce, tourism, and real estate.
He is currently CEO of Waitack.
Cyril is a qualified engineer from Centrale Paris and AgroParisTech.
Jean-Pascal PHAM-BA
With more than 25 years' experience as an internationally recognised expert, business lawyer, entrepreneur and opinion leader, Jean-Pascal initiates, develops and supports innovative projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives for a rapid energy and sustainable transition, by strategically mobilising key actors of institutions, organisations, technologies, law and finance.
Co-founder of Solairedirect, a pioneer in the supply of competitive solar energy, and then of the Terrawatt Initiative, an organisation aiming to create the conditions for a low-carbon economy, Jean-Pascal began his career with the law firm Gide.
Jean-Pascal holds an Executive Master's degree from Ecole Polytechnique and a Certificate in Sustainability Management from Cambridge University. He also holds two degrees in Business Law and Finance from Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
Dr. Marcus SCHUMACHER
Dr. Marcus Schumacher has more than 30 years of global experience across multiple industries and currently holds the position of Group CEO at Jubaili Bros, a global leader for off-grid conventional and renewable power solutions.
He spent 10 years at Johnson Controls, where he was Global Vice President Product Management and Engineering, & General Manager EMEA Industrial Refrigeration Products after heading Johnson Controls’ Building Technology Group in the Middle East for more than 3 years. During this time, he led the establishment of Johnson Controls’ Digital Practise in the Middle East with projects such as Beeah, the office of the future, or the digitalization of the eight FIFA Stadiums in Qatar, both in close collaboration with Microsoft.
Dr. Marcus Schumacher holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Material Science from RWTH Aachen in Germany. He also completed executive leadership programs at Wharton Business School and Rice University in the US.
Marcus has supported and invested in several innovative start-up ventures in the Middle East.
